Since 1986 Susanne Janz-Eisenmann, Michael Eisenmann and Udo Roesner have been working together in a team in various lines of the music sector - as retailers, in the repair field, as acoustic specialists and developers. "Learning by doing", the "passion" for acoustic instruments, "good sound" and the "daily removing of obstacles" have shaped the development from the beginning. Skills, good luck and "the good people" have provided impulses in some fields so that delicate research

ACOUSTICUBE - prototype - let's make the phoenix rise from the ashes!

One does not become a manufacturer overnight. Exceptional solutions do not just come out of the blue. To commit oneself implies: a wave starts rolling which is difficult to keep up with, even when trying hard.

Production hall, machines, finding one's self, staff, manufacturing processes, being on the wrong track, not giving up, work safety, reliability, series production, setbacks, further developments, mistakes, customer contacts, expectations, disappointments, international contacts, trade fairs, wholesalers, multilingualism, operation instructions, warranty claims, product line, competition, business letters, financing, marketing strategies, remaining true to oneself - a great deal of things at once.
A whirl between euphoria and stackoverflow.

Since 1992 we have been working to make AER the hallmark of acoustic amplification. High-quality components with minimal tolerances, sophisticated circuit technology, calculating constitute the basis to convert plans into melodious sound. More than 20 employees are busy equipping, checking, documenting, installing, assembling, and checking all over again. In our company electronics still means a great deal of manual work. Measuring and simulation do not suffice. In the end, every single amp is played and checked for sound and function.

We work for the musician's everyday task, and that is 'live'

AER Amp Two

Amp two is the second member of the Bottom Line combo bass amps. Based on Amp one, but with more defined speaker-system and more power. A 12“ neodymium woofer for quick and full bass response combined with a 4“ mid-high direct radiating speaker for gentle trebles allows a wider range of sounds from funk to pop, rock and jazz.

In further difference to the Amp one the signal path is lead trough adjustable compression pre EQ- to provide even more dynamic headroom.

One Channel Combo Amplifier, 12" Woofer with Neodymium Magnet, 240 Watts @ 8 ohms, 3-Band EQ, 18mm Birch Plywood Cabinet, 51.7 lbs., Includes Padded Gig Bag. Retail $2599

AER Basic Performer

AER Basic Performer

The Basic Performer is a solution for Bass and instruments of the lower registers based on the experience of multiplying well proven AER acoustic systems. Regardless of scale lengths, body sizes and resonance problems just to name some trouble zones of acoustic bass instruments – they require the same approach and care to reproduce well balanced and clear registers.

A small twin-cone system seems perfect – it is fast, provides a superior coverage for the critical mid-range and has got enough substance in the bass range. So in the Basic Performer four 8“-twin-cone speakers, individually powered by four 60 watt power amps provide for the required surface area and the necessary sound pressure level.

The sound characteristics are full range thus open and light yet breathing as well as grumbling and surprisingly appropriate for far more instruments than the bass-related instruments such as harp, cello, accordion…or even try a jazz guitar!

Twin Channel Combo Amplifier, 2 x 8" Woofers, hybrid, 4 x 60 W/4 ohm RMS, class a/b
dynamic control, 3-Band EQ, Compressor, 50.72 lbs., Includes Soft Cover. Retail $2599

Sale $2299

AER BassCube 2

AER BassCube 2

The BassCube 2 has proven to do an excellent job to reproduce double bass authentically.

Now, in its 2nd generation we have identified a real coaxial speaker-system (12“ and a 1“ horn) that works extremely well in its very small bass-reflex cabinet. It has lost some weight and is much clearer in its functions and features.

We have also implemented AER’s new advanced dynamic control technology and have extended the dynamic range substantially. Driven by the new AER 550 W/8 ohm class d power amp the BassCube 2 has got the power to go down to the lowest frequencies in an effortless manner.

Its two channels are equally equipped and allow two different instruments set up in all comfort – and be sure it works very well for electric bass too. Whether ‘arco’ or ‘pizzicato’ – the BassCube 2 sounds like your bass: round and open – you can hear the stroke of your bow as true to life as the placing of your fingers on the fingerboard.

Twin Channel 2-Way Coaxial System, two-way coaxial neodymium speaker system, 12“ bass plus 1“ HF driver, class d, 550 W/8 ohm RMS, dynamic control, 18mm Birch Plywood Cabinet, Includes Soft Cover. 44 LBS. Retail $4499

Sale $3899

AER Cab One

AER Cab One

Design features, besides efficiency, light in weight, small in size, reproduction of a truthfull tone, have mainly been fast attack time, low distortion and high power handling. All of this is extremely demanding and requires a lot of attention to all detail.

Cab one is a two way full range loudspeaker system. To extend the bass range we decided to apply two 10“ speakers in pushpull mode. This allows smaller cabinet size keeping the low cutoff frequency and thus allows more low end besides performing with less distortion.

Instead of a horn or tweeter whose ‘harshness’ we are not really friends with we relied on the performance of the AER 8“ twin cone extended range chassis to cover the mid and high frequency range.

Two-way full-range loudspeaker-system, two-way system with vented 2 x 10“ neodymium in push-pull mode plus 1 x 8“-twin-cone extended range, 300 Watts, 4 ohm, Frequency response: 65 Hz –15 kHz, 18mm Birch Plywood Cabinet, 59.54 lbs, SoftCover Included with 1 m cable with Speakon Plug. Retail $1499

Sale $1299

AER Cab Two

AER Cab Two

Cab two is a 15“ neodymium bass reflex loudspeaker-system. Works stand alone with Head One. Cab
two in addition is the perfect match to work in conjunction with Cab one as full stack.

Besides many other design concepts bass reflex still is a very valid compromise that provides extended bass range in a relatively small cabinet with reasonable step response. The cabinets are all made with extreme care, rock-solid components and a lot of additional bracing to keep the level of static noise as low as possible.

1 x 15“ neodymium woofer 98 dB 1 watt @1m, 350 Watts, 45 Hz – 1.5 kHz, 18mm Birch Plywood Cabinet, 52.91 lbs., SoftCover Included with 1 m cable with Speakon Plug. Retail $1249

Sale $1099

AER Head One
AER Head One Controls

AER Head One

With all the experience in acoustics, dynamic control and sound design AER reaches out into the field of professional bass amplification and launches the AER Bottom Line series.

The concept: a small, light-weight two channel class d integrated amplifier that covers the range from Anglo-saxon ‘punch’ to european ‘hifi ’ orientated sounds. Head one can be used in three operational modes: 2 channel full-range mode, 2-way active mode and bridge-mode in combination with Cab one, Cab two or Cab three.

It is equipped with ‘tube emulation’ for ‘drive’ sounds, two independent EQs, ‘colour-switch’ and ‘tone lever’. Class d amps are getting more popular as besides efficiency they can be made so surprisingly small and light. Besides these benefits they inherit a lot of problems (noise, distortion, cut-off ) especially if they are used in ‘limit mode’. Their overall performance is extremely depending on the design and the smart use of controls and protections to guarantee proper functionality. We have done a lot to make that happen!

Single-input, class d integrated bass amplifier, 2 channel class d, dynamic control, HF out: 275 W/4 ohm, LF out: 275 W/4 ohm, bridge mode: 550 W/8 ohm, 13.23 lbs., Includes Paded Gig Bag. Retail $2999

Sale $2599
